Preschool of the Arts was formed in the East Village over 20 years ago with the mission to provide downtown families with a stellar preschool experience. As our school began to develop a reputation for excellence in education as well as a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we saw the need to expand in order to better serve our community. We wanted to ensure that each of our schools retained the character of our original vision for Preschool of the Arts while being accessible and in walking distance to the communities and families downtown.
We are thrilled and honored to provide a boutique school experience to our downtown families in Gramercy Park, Chelsea, Flatiron, Union Square and Greenwich Village and their surrounding neighborhoods.
Set in the heart of the vibrant Chelsea neighborhood, just a hop, skip and jump from the Village, Union Square and Flatiron neighborhoods, the Chelsea Preschool Of The Arts is one of our most popular locations.
Situated in the leafy Gramercy neighborhood, the Gramercy Park Preschool Of The Arts is one of our busiest preschool locations, offering programs ranging from infants to Pre-K. It is beautifully furnished with a modern, soft, and natural aesthetic that embodies the Reggio approach and mimics a home setting for our youngest learners.
The Greenwich Village Preschool Of The Arts brings our acclaimed preschool to the area. The new site is situated just steps from Washington Sq. Park on Thompson and Bleecker Streets.
Our newest Preschool of The Arts location is situated in the bustling and conveniently located neighborhood of Union Square. This location on 13th street and 5th avenue, features a large indoor play space where children engage in gross motor activities, explore instruments and create art. Our lovely outdoor space allows children to enjoy the outdoors throughout the year.
